HCC'02 does not intend to have "posters" in the traditional sense! Rather, in order to work within the space limitations imposed by our contract with IEEE/CS Press, and also out of a desire to minimize the number of parallel sessions, we are forced to accept many fine submissions in shortened form similar to what ACM's UIST conference does for what they call "tech notes". Each author of a poster (or tech note) will be allotted 3 pages in the proceedings and 10-12 minutes to present your work during a conference session. Poster authors will not be expected to produce a display on a board in a room full of physical posters! Furthermore, because the word "poster" suffers in some people's minds from negative connotations, HCC'02 will adopt the UIST terminology of "tech note" in the final program and pubished proceedings.
